Greeting and recording disclosure

The greeting is the first sentence the caller hears. The default:

"Hello, you've reached {business}. I'm the digital receptionist, and this call is recorded so we can get back to you properly. How can I help?"

What must stay

  • The recording disclosure β€” calls are recorded and transcribed at the provider; announcing it is a legal requirement, not a courtesy.
  • Disclosure that this is a digital assistant β€” the receptionist does not pose as a person, and when asked it says it is a bot.

What works well

  • Short β€” one breath (up to 600 characters in the field, and far fewer is better). The customer is waiting to talk.
  • End with an open question ("How can I help?") rather than a menu.
  • The persona field sets the tone (warm, matter-of-fact, young) and recurring phrases.

After a change click "Sync" so the greeting is updated at the provider, then run "Test call to me".
